How to Clean Microfibre Cloths

Eight is Great

To make your microfibre cloths go further, use only one section of the cloth at once. For an optimum clean, we advise folding your cloth in half, then in half again - that way, you get eight clean surfaces per cloth.

When one side starts to leave behind dirt from cleaning multiple surfaces, simply re-fold your cloth to reveal a new section - and repeat until all eight sides have been used.

After using any of the Marigold microfibre cloths, we would always recommend rinsing them out thoroughly. Once rinsed, leave your cloth flat to dry.

Wash Regularly

Microfibre cloths that are used daily, such as the Marigold Wiper Upper Multi-Purpose Cloth, should be popped in the wash regularly to keep them fresh, clean and suitable to use time and time again.*

*Do not use bleach or fabric softener when washing your cloths, as this could negatively affect the microfibres.

Marigold Let It Shine! Microfibre Cloths come in a pack of four vibrant colours, so you can colour-coordinate your cloths for specific chores or rooms.
Marigold’s Instagram and Facebook audiences love to tell us their rhymes for remembering which cloths they use in each part of the house. Our favourites are:

  • Blue for Loo - a dedicated cloth for toilets helps to avoid cross-contamination.
  • Pink for Sink - either bathroom or kitchen sinks; your cloth can do both!
  • Green for Screens - think computer screens, mobile phones, tablets and TVs, or even showerscreens.
  • Then keep your orange cloth for day-to-day jobs around the house. Don’t forget to clean high-traffic areas such as remotes, banisters and door knobs/handles
